It's important to know where your food comes from and how it's reached your plate. All our meat is sourced from our own farm and processed at our butchery. The Catlins has a rugged, natural beauty due to its southern, coastal location. It has some of the most productive land with reliant rainfall, lush pastures and natural cover. Our unique location enhances our produce - and we are excited to offer you the chance to taste the difference!
Our lamb is grown in the lush green pastures of Tiromoana, located 5km from the township of Owaka in The Catlins, New Zealand. Our farm is over 1,800 acres with views that will take your breath away.
Our farm includes sheep, beef and forestry as well as two stunning accommodation properties. Tiromoana Lodge is nestled on a hill over looking some of the spectacular views of The Catlins Coast while Catlins River Station is located at the head of The Catlins Lake on the farm boundary.
Our farm is a southern coastal property consisting of flat, rolling and steep country with a diverse range of environmental aspects that we respect and take into consideration. This includes peat swamps, natural bush, creeks & streams, tidal estuary and a river boundary.
We are committed to protecting these areas by fencing off creeks and ponds and conducting riparian planting to enhance what is already existing. We have made a conscious choice to protect our land. If we do nothing we will lose the native areas that don’t have a chance to regenerate.
We focus on farming the best and most productive areas while enhancing and restoring the original environment.
